    samsung galaxy s unlock pin

I maybe the first person in the world to notice this, I recieved phone yest and noticed a potential problem immediately, when swiping ur finger over the screen to unlock phone, rather than entering a simple pin number with numbers you create a problem : this is that when you hold the phone to the light you can see the smudge line of the unlock pattern therefore leaving your phone potentially unlocked for anyone picking it up(if they are clever enough to figure this out)... will samsung be solving this with a simple pin number system???? this obviously applies to sony x10 and other similar handsets........ I imagine anyone reading this is now thinking and worrying about the same issue.. mms's/emails/contacts etc are now v v v insecure.....

lol, well i realized this on my friends G1, but if youre going to leave your phone unattended by ppl youre worried about doing something bad on it, maybe you shouldnt leave it near them lol. but i guess if youre worried about a little brother or something, then all i can suggest is wiping off the screen with your tshirt before walking away from it.
but i can give one more suggestion, a SIM lock code, if you set a SIM lock code itll be a pin number to gain access to the phone, of course setting both phone lock and sim lock would be the safest

from what i can see, the new Froyo updates for the i9000 offer more unlock options compared to Eclair, which i assume is what you're currently running..

if you upgrade, the phone should give you the option to choose either pattern, pin, or password to unlock.. i can at least vouch that the JPM rom has these options.. i don't know about JP6 or JPA, though..

Yep I can confirm that JPA/JPO offers you Pattern, Pin or Password methods to secure your phone.
