    Cool upgrading shall i risk it?

    hi i tried to update my phone last week which resulting in my phone getting bricked and sent of to samsung repair to re flash i really would like to upgrade it but not sure whether i have the balls too i think the reason it crashed was the mtp device driver kept crashing and have un installed klies then re installed it and that has seemed to sort the driver out prob i put lots of music on my phone last nite vi a kies so is working well as far as i can see, is there anyway i can update it safely without voiding warranty so if need be it can be repaired through insurance or shall i just forget it and stick wiv what ive got? thanks for your advice!!!

    well, are you able to use boot screen? if your phone has the boot screen, you dont really have anything to worry about. i mean you went all this way to get the galaxy s, the best powerhouse phone on the market today, so to not upgrade it is such a waste. so my vote is update it!

    i work for at&t in the US, and i get this at least twice a week
    as far as the warranty goes, phone warranties dont cover physical damage anyway, so if you drop your phone, they wont care if its rooted or not, they wont help you either way. the only thing a phone company will cover is damage thats their fault, which is virtually nothing, they make sure of that, mostly software damages, or bricking. if its a situation where the phone wont turn on, theyll completely replace your phone, so long as its still under warranty, and honestly anything less of bricking it, youll be able to find a solution for on this or another forum.

    so by all means, let your phone be all it can be

    thanks soraxd how do you find out if it has a boot screen is it volume up home button and power? im just so scared of it breaking on me it is my ultimate toy i use it for everything thanks for your opinion i think i will get some balls and just do it soon lol!!
