Only had my Galaxy S a week or so and I've only charged it once so far, which was successful. But I needed to charge it again today, so plugged it in to the wall socket and left it. Came back and it said Charging 99% for ages, so I unplugged the phone from the charger and then went to About > Status, and it said Battery 100%.

My phone then suddenly died and went totally black, with none of the buttons working. So I Googled for the problem and found about 2 or 3 similar posts, so I took the battery out, put it back and the phone now works, and seems faster to load screens, etc.

Any idea what happened? Cheers!
