KIES doesn't allow copy & paste of text messages? Irritating!

I'm loving my new Galaxy S, but for someone who was used to using the excellent Float's Mobile Agent software, I'm finding KIES to be pretty sub-standard.

One key thing I need to be able to do is copy and paste text message text into PC software, even if it's just Notepad or Microsoft Word. Sometimes I need to keep a log of text messages in my employer's CRM database, so I just used to connect my Sony Ericsson to my PC via USB, then select text from each text message and copy and paste it into the online CRM.

Any way to select text message text using KIES or some other way?

    Thanks!

    RemoteSMS Full

You are right about KIES, it is useless. I can do most of the things or get round them without using KIES.

For Text message, I highly recommend an app call RemoteSMS, it allows you to send/manage text messages from PC by connecting your phone using Wifi or USB(paid version). You will need the paid version which can read all sent and received Messages from your phone. The interface is not pretty but it does the job very well, I use it daily.

Or you could try SMS backup. I am running it on my works Hero and it is very good. Backs up your Sms messsages to your Google account and from Google you can cut, paste and do whatever you want. AND its free!

Just to update you on what I ended up doing. Although it suffers from connection problems which are really frustrating, I didn't want to get an App that always runs in the background on my Galaxy S, so I went for one called MyPhoneExplorer, which allows me to copy, paste and delete SMS messages. It involves installing software on the PC and an App/Client on the phone, but once you get connected (which is really tedious, in my experience), it works well and is a great bit of software.
