Hi Everyone

My name is Jin and I am a Samsung Addict . First time poster to this forum and I hope to start posting more. Am looking into buying a Galaxy i9000 as the screen on my Samsung G600 is starting to quit on me after 3 years of use. As of current I carry around my ipod touch and my phone and its just cumbersome, so I am looking for the all in one Holy Grail package and my choiced picks are either the Galaxy or that other thing that apple has out now. But I am looking to get some questions answered so I can put that final nail in the coffin for the Iphone (really dont want an Iphone, but it seems to fit my needs)

1. For the Ipod touch if you double clicked the home button when it is under a locked state it would bring up a menu where you can change songs/volume/play/pause etc. I think this is a nifty function so I wouldnt have to unlock the phone, go into the music player and change. Does the Galaxy have a feature like that also as I am very picky about what I want to hear at what time.

2. I am ex-pat living abroad in China, any news if the Android App Market works over here? Or will it be censored like everything else

3. Will I be able to install and use a VPN for this phone so I can bypass the great firewall of china?

4. General ease of use, as this would be my first dabble in the pool in terms of smartphones/PDA's.

Hello,

1. The music player that came with my SGS allows you to play, pause and skip tracks on the lock screen without unlocking.

4. The phone is very easy to use, however the calling options can annoy some people. You may need to make a few presses to make a call.

Edit. Plus the SGS is excellent and easy to customise if you wish, also has a very good processor and display. If you are looking for something that you can use straight out the box then get the Iphone. I am not a big fan of the Iphone as imo you shouldn't need 3rd party software to put files on your device.

Questions 2 and 3 am not too sure about.
