Message tones

Hi new to site and my phone, I have my old message tone which I would like to us on my Galaxy S the tone is an mp3 file which I sent as a text to the galaxy how do I get it into the notification tones or do you access it for somwhere else I am getting fed up now of trying thanks

Have you looked in your music files for it. If you can get it into there you just need tone picker app from the market to select any of your tunes as message (notification) tones.

In my opinion, the best is to download Handcent SMS from the market, it's much better than the stock messaging app, it allows you to select any ringtone and it has many different settings.

+1 from me, love Handcent SMS. Even tried speaking a reply to a text & the phone got my sentence exactly (not sure that's unique to Handcent though, just pleased it worked).
