SGS TripleEye (White) Firmware: (JB 4.1.2) ELLA - Rooted
As a SGS user I am pretty happy with it, it was laggy at first but after i upgrade it to froyo and did some lagfix, it is working really fast and great now. But as other people mentioned the phone GPS might be a problem, that is if you are going to use your phone for navigation, since I'm not so it is not a problem for me. While if you are going to watch videos with your phone the 4" superamoled screen gives off really good quality video.
Yep, it's Russian.. Actually, Russian sites contain so much about SGS, very good FAQs, and very much pirate softIt appears a few hours after the app hits the Market.
My phone was since the first minute the fastest smartphone i ever held in my hands. Then I did some lagfixes and the benchmark judged my phone to be 3 times faster then it should be (Now faster then any overpowered Nexus One or anything else). And the GPS part I can also not confirm. Since the first time my GPS is working really great, 1000x better than on my old LG Arena. Theres no difference if I'm on car or by foot, the signal is found very fast and max distance is about 5-20 metres..... I hate Samsung since about 4 years, but the Galaxy S is an epic device
LOL. Why dont you wait for the Xperia x12 (aka anzu). =p

Hi...
I came to the Galaxy S and Android from the world of Iphone's. Now I have sold the Galaxy and gone to the Desire HD. Various reasons quite happy with the Samsung but must admit GPS was a pain and it could take its time with some other functions. The Desire HD feels a lot stonger and better build, and the operations are really quick. I use a programme called locations as well as the GPS and there's no lag and it fires up straight away. When I had the the Samsung I tried to use Keis several times but could never get it to work. HTC Sense looks good but haven't really used it much yet.
Happy I made the switch................OH YES.
