    Car holder for the SGS?

Whats the best phone holder for SGS in the car that does not secure to the windscreen (I hate the marks that suction pads leave)? Thanks.

Looking for possibly the airvent style holder or even http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

    cheers

I currently use the Brodit charging cradle:
    http://www.mountonus.com/Samsung-Vib...167-26031.aspx

And have it mounted on a dashmount bracket:
    http://www.dashmount.co.uk/manufacturers.htm

    Works well for me,

I just had this one delivered today.
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/UNIVERSAL-CAR-...item3f0410ba11
Took about 10 days to deliver but am well impressed with quality of it. It is pretty solid yet very compact. I have stuck it to a glass coaster and it will sit on a non slip mat on my dashboard meaning i can hide it easily when i get out of the car. I have also ordered a retractable in car charger from ebay as well as i dont like the coiled ones as they constantly pull at the phone if you stretch it. It sticks really well and has a twist lock mechanism at the base so it is solid.

I have just ordered a " Stick Um! " universal holder from mobilefun.co.uk - can hold two devices at a time and is apparently " sticky" but without any residue - hopefully will arrive today

    See it here http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/stick-um-...der-p26795.htm

Will post how I get on with it once I have had a chance to try it out

Well the Stick Um! holder arrived today - not really impressed but guess my dashboard ( which is pretty dimpled ) is just not flat enough for it to stick well -wouldn't want to risk my Galaxy on it when driving. Tried it on a completely flat kitchen surface and it did stick pretty good on that. Will probably end up doing some adaptation of the metal bracket that came with it

Thanks for the review, how well does it actually keep the phone stuck to it? I wonder if it really is as re-usable as the site suggests (the stickyness), I want to place it on my dash pocket, will it work?

I did buy this from ebay and it just does not stick to the windscreen! (any ideas?) otherwise I would have wasted my money, seller suggested to clean the windscreen which i did but no luck.

I tried to upload a picture of the one i bought to show you how compact it is but think i can only post it if i do it as a completely new post, so sorry. However as i mentioned before i have mine stuck to a glass coaster you would set a tea cup on and it is rock solid, drove about with it yesterday and it did not move. I also have this sitting on a non stick mat that i bought from poundland or one of those shops. One pound for a big roll of the stuff, cut a piece same size as coaster, also got in the same colour as my dashboard so it looks great.. Also had my retractable in car charger delivered yesterday although havent had a chance to try it yet. It does look the part however, can be pulled out up to a metre and as it is not a coil it does not pull at the phone. Simply push a button at the back of it and it rewinds back in.

If i am missing something and there is a simple way to upload a photo let me know and i will upload one.
Would definitely recommend the phone holder though. I have also used this same method for my Tom Tom sat nav, sticks perfectly to coaster and just sits on the non stick mat without moving.

Hey thanks for the informative reply! A picture would be great, best way is to go to www.photobucket.com, register, upload the photo and copy and paste the (IMG) Tag into this thread and the picture will be on here easy. This is the way to do it if your on any forum. The website is good also for keeping photos online incase your computer dies, just make sure you set your account to private.

    Ok photobucket signed up to.

will see if this works. I really should read instructions once in a while.
I will try and post a better pic later with the phone set up ion the car cos it really does look good and is so easy to remove when you need to . No suction marks on windscreens. The retractable car charger works great by the way and is so much easier on the eye than a long coiled cable.

Another couple of pics added in position.
