still got the 'phone never waking up from lock' issue

man i hate it.. if my screen goes out for even a few seconds, i have to yank the battery and restart the phone. i realized the phone isnt turning off when it happens tho, cause it happens during calls when im talking to someone, theyll still be there, but i wont be able to turn the screen back on, and even after they hang up its still dead.. and i made a test call to my phone and it rang like 8 times before going to voicemail, so im sure the phone is still on when becomes unresponsive. if its plugged in it wont do this, so i have to leave it plugged in 24/7.. when im driving i either have to leave the screen on 'never turn off' or restart my phone every time i wanna check my directions.. i had this problem on JB5 and madaco R1 and now R2.. briggs i know you had this problem man.. did you fix it yet? does anyone else know anything about this?

I know that SGS has this feature which the screen will goes black as soon as you place it near your face during call, it is to prevent your face from touching the screen and it will wake up as soon as I move my face away.

But in your case, its sounds like a hardware problem, perhaps you can try take it back to where you bought it and see if they can do something about it?

No I think its got something to do with the Custom Modaco rom. I have the same issue now and then. However back on official firmware JG1 (I dont use swype really) I find its faster and no sleep lockup issue where I have to remove the battery. It could also be setcpu? But its working find on JG1.

Its quite a major issue for me and if my alarm clock fails. I'm late to work and that's not cool.

I don't have that issue with MCR R2 with JG1, but as the same time I am not using SetCPU.

well I've uninstalled setcpu and so far so good I haven't had any problems with the phone more waking up from sleep I haven't restarted my phone since then so its hard to say if it'll come back or not but for now I'm very pleased, any idea why setcpu might cause the phone to act up like this? how did you ever get the idea that installing setcpu would fix it?.. man briggs you're a genius
