    To flash a rom. Stuck on Galnet at the moment...

    Odin won't recognise it since the USB device not recognised error keeps showing but ONLY in download mode. Can't understand why it works fine in normal mode but not download mode?

    make sure you have stopped all kies processes running via task manager - it conflicts with dowload mode

    I've totally uninstalled Kies now so that can't be the issue.

    Totally confused!

    Which usb port are you using? Front or rear?

    Its a laptop but I've tried front and rear ports on my PC too.

    No.

    Although there is an Heimdall for Android. You can download a version for mac which does basically the same as Odin. This is what I use on Linux

    Thanks but thankfully even better news is I've had a result with Odin.

    For anyone who is experiencing the same problem as me, here is what to try.

    Remove USB cable. Put phone into download mode. Plug USB into phone and then into computer and hopefully Odin picks it up as it did with mine.

    Back on stock JVQ now
