Smile How can I clear RAM?

    Hi,

My phone has got a bit slow and sticky when moving around the homescreens of late. A bit stutterly and has crashed on a few apps.

I noticed my RAM is 267mb/326mb and is the only thing in the task manager that is high? How can I reduce this, and assume this is affecting performance?

Assume once I can store apps to SD card with Froyo (when ever that officially releases) will help?

    Cheers

Ok, so I have closed all but a couple of the running services. I Have ram at 268/326? How can I get this down? I am sure this is why my phone is slow and laggy at times?

You're wrong, your phone is laggy not because of RAM usage, but because of shitty RFS filesystem. You will need to install lagfix to improve the phone performance.

What is it called on the market as there is nothing called Lag Fix?

In the meantime I will try RyanZA's OCLF 2.0, which is some sort of booster for Galaxy S?

Actually, cannot do the one click lag fix as it has to root the device first? Is this safe with this app and what will it do?

It is safe, don't worry. Root your phone with this app (it can root your phone, as you might have seen), hope your phone has 3 button combo working (you will need the vol up+home button+power button to enter the recovery mode). Then you must copy the EXT2 files, then apply lagfix.
