No Screen rotate

I have UK O2 SGS and last Saterday installed nordic v. Froyo.
Having some fun with it unill hours ago.
The auto rotate screen doesn't rotate automatically anymore only works manually tap in the Setting.
I already did factory reset with no success.
Is there anyone can solve this problem?

Have you accidentally disabled screen rotation in the drop down notification bar ?

No I haven't.
When I off the auto rotation, screen shows vertically and when is on screen turn horizontally.
But not automatically turn.

That is strange. First I would run the Horizontal Calibration tool under Settings > Display.

Something could be corrupt I guess.

Have you installed any apps that might affect the rotation ?

I did.
All the apps i had befote froyo.
Now i found the horizontal screen is upside down as well.
Though u tube works properly.

Did you do a wipe data/factory reset from the 3 button recovery mode ??

Factory reset in the setting.

Ah that's not really a proper factory reset.

You need to go into recovery mode to do a full one - but you will lose your apps and contacts and pretty much everything, so back it all up before doing it.

After reading about this problem elsewhere, it seems that a recovery mode factory reset does in fact sort it.
