    Great start ...

    ........to the weekend.
Plugged phone into PC and KIAS suggested that I may wish to update my firmware. Ok seemed simple enough request, after plugging in playing with a couple of settings off it went and installed the update and then rebooted.......cool that was easy UNTIL I tried use it..... Opened the screen to be greeted with an error message telling me various items couldn't be opened and gave me the option of force close which just gave another similar message.
Tried resetting, rebooting and also factory reset......still same result.
Maybe not such a good idea after all
Phone's been returned to shop and lets see what they come up with, and for me its a loan Nokia in the mean time.

Thats exactly what happened to me! Had to reflash it myself and now Kies sees it but not in the firmware update box!

Factory reset and clear cache would have cured it that is if the 3 button recovery mode works on yours VOL + & HOME & POWER. It was probably because you left widgets on one of your desktops.

    Hi...
Couldn't get it to do anything (wasn't sure how to reflash) and tried the VOL + & HOME & POWER option and although it opened the options ie factory reset, clear cashe nothing made any difference.
Well its back with the shop who will forward it on Monday for their engineers to look at and then back to Samsung if they can't sort it ?????
