When I first bought my phone camera didn't work Message "Warning - Camera Failed". I reset to factory settings and it worked for about 12 hours. I reset again and tested after every app was put on and it still worked then about 10-12 hours later it stopped working again. Battery is charged up. No Apps aparently running and still I get Camera Failed. Will the new firmware upgrade sort the problemHELP!
Uninstall the Skype app if you have that installed, then reboot the phone and see if it works ?
Fring and Skype apparently both cause problems on the SGS.
I got the same problem today, exactly one month after i bought the phone. tried uninstalling skype and all but no change. thing is ive used the camera since i downloaded skype and it was working just fine.
I had this simular issue but not installed skype, are your phone the 16GB versions by any chance,

sorry this is usefull for testing my front camera works *#0*# just diel and brings up a test menu for the LCD
