Photos as wallpaper

Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help, I want to use a photo as wallpaper, when I select 'set as wallpaper' the photo increases in size, I just want to able to see the whole photo on the screen I've tried reducing the picture size to 960 x 800 as several people have suggested but this isn't working for me, can anyone please help? it would be so much appreciated,

Hi. I noticed that when I set an image as wallpaper it is spread across 7 screens. In fact, a box appeared allowing me to select the area of photo I wanted to use. I therefore presume that to have the image appear on just the first screen you would have to adjust the width by 1/7th, with the other 6/7ths width being black (or whatever colour you decide). 1/7 of 800 is 114.29 according to my calculator.

Thanks, I've actually been able to delete the 6 other screens so I just have 1 as I wanted, the problem I'm having is fitting the photo to the size of the screen that I can't figure out, as when I select to set as wallpaper the photo goes so big like quadruples in size! thanks.
