    Wallpaper Help

    Hi,

Is there a way of applying a 480x800 wallpaper to fit full screen without the phone wanting to cut it in half and stretch it to fit landscape?

The Samsung Wave allows wallpapers to be applied in portrait mode without stretching the image but i can't get the Galaxy S to do it. Should I be using a different resolution?

    Thanks

Thanks for your reply but it's a portrait mode im after if it's possible. That resolution, although clear doesn't show the full picture on one screen. Ideally I would like one static portrait picture for all screens and not a landscape scrolling wallpaper. The Wave did it automatically if the resolution of the picture was in portrait but it doesn't look like the Galaxy will.

Oh right, no, sorry you can't have static wallpaper I don't think (although there may be an app for that, or a hack for Rooted handsets that would allow it).

Like NZtechfreak said just find a picture and then make it fit 960x800. When you select the image just size the frame to fix the whole image. Then it will look sharp and not blurry.

Basically download the 1080p version of the image you want and then select what part of the image you want as your wallpaper.

I tried with 720p images but they look really blurry to me once you selected them as wallpaper.

Thanks for the suggestions everybody, much appreciated.

It seems the only option at the moment is the 960x800 route It would be nice to have the choice of portrait or landscape wallpapers though............maybe in a firmware update?..............i doubt it

    Thanks
