Yeah that's true, but I spent a lot of money on the phone and hopefully it will look as good in a year as the day I bought it. I can always remove the case for weddings and funerals

I too purchased one for my Bell [Canada] Galaxy S Vibrant. It is a really nice fit and the screen protector looks to be good quality but I pooched the install I'm terrible at putting them on. Will have to pick another up. I really want a otter box case but they don't have one out so this was the next best thing. I like the fact the phone feels bulkier now as its to light and delicate feeling. A metal back plate replacing the Samsung plastic one would help too.

I would also recommend this case.....I did an unintentional drop test yesterday, and it sounded pretty solid hitting the floor .

Also, unless you're a surgeon or extremely steady-handed, I would recommend getting a 2 pack of the screen protectors. They are a freaking pain to put on, and if you don't get it on the first or second (or tenth) try, then your going to have dust specs on it (i.e. air bubbles) when you finally get it on correctly.

And nothing will make your phone look older faster than a poorly applied screen protector.

And don't forget to put it on 'silent' at the same time

PS Thanks for the review and considering getting one as well.............

I got one for myself as well, and it indeed looks pretty solid! I'm not afraid any more to put the phone on the desk. Small problem, that it sticks into my pocket quite a bit, but it doesn't have good grip on my cars dashboard.Worth getting tho!

Does it add a LOT of thickness to the phone? Does it make it any harder to get out of your pocket?

It does make it a little more difficult to get in and out of your pocket, but you get used to it in a day or two, and the benefits far outweigh that little niggle imho. The sheer confidence that this case instills in you compared to that given by a "naked" SGS is hard to explain.

As for the thickness, I would say the total thickness of the phone with the case fitted is about 12mm.

Can we have a 'chucked against the wall in anger' test please

On the case I have which adds 2mm total to the phone thickness seems to make a big difference in feel, especially when you remove the case and think this is slim

Haha...no. Damn, if you get that angry just punch a pillow or something

I can't agree with Goots more as far as the case goes. Once in a while the rubber does grab the inside of your pocket when you try and pull it out, but it isn't really that annoying. The phone feels so damn solid with the case on it....I've already dropped it a couple of times from about waist high, and the thing is like a rock. HUGE peace of mind with this baby.
