Go to Contacts > Menubutton > More > Copy contacts![]()
Inserting the Sim into the phone should have copied the contacts from the Sim to your phone memory.
However to toggle contact views between Sim/phone memory/gmail, do this, Contacts > Menu button > Display options > Tick whichever you want to display.
I tend to sync with outlook that way i don't lose contacts when i change phone. The Samsung Kies software is pretty poor imho.
I agree, syncing is definitely the way forward. I sync with my google account personally, but whatever works for you![]()
loaded kies and havent figure out how to use it not user friendly at all !
anyways i'ma n ew owner and user of sgs so far happy with it and figured out how to transfer contacts from a mac to sgs if you;re a mac user, this could be helpful.
goto address book in mac under preferences and sync your contacts using google mail and then from google mail you can sync your phone with it.
some contacts maybe missing but it's a fast and easy way to do it.
hope this helps![]()
Are all the contacts synced up with your gmail account. if so just add the gmail account on the new Samsung galaxy s phone and all your contacts will also be there if you select to sync contacts.
