The phone plays .mkv files by default. I have a few on there which I just dragged straight across from my PC using windows explorer.

recently i was studying MKV files. luckly i find a forum discuss about similar issue. there are many ways such as mVideoPlayer, converting tool in my impress. but i think mkv is complex file. there are some can be played on SGS2, some can't. many people recommand player. but such as SGS2 default player, moboplayer, mvideoplayer, and Rockplayer, each will do a little something the others won't. So i think a converting tool is easy.

Android 's FAT32 limitation needs to notice. to find a converter can convert video under 4g is important. that means in one file. you can looking for one.

You can try MX video player, I think that works! You can find it at apps for galaxy s2 hope this helps
