    In my phone the code that works for me in service mode is *#197238640#.

    I'm trying to increase the speaker volume, mainly to listen to the radio and music player.
    I have entered in the service mode menu with the indicated code, select [5] AUDIO, and then [3] SPEAKER, and [1] VOLUME, but then there are seven sections and I don't know which to choose, or what values to enter.

    Intuitively I think that point to change is No. 6-- I2S1 Rx Gain(if menu is similar to Omnia HD), but the original value is hexadecimal (0x1c85), and I have no idead for the input code.

    Anyone knows?

    My phone use *#*#197328649#*#*. I try to increase ringing volume and to ring instantly (no 3 secomds dealy) as I8910, but the menu is much more complex than I8910. Hope some Ching can help on this.

    Just found on Galaxy I7500 can adjust volume by following method and value, but I9000 menu is different. I try few field but volume still same. Hope someone can try and find the right way !

    After the last firmware update the sound was pretty low,so i wanted to increase the volume... tried the volume hack but it did not increase the headphone volume,only the handset volume..... this is kinda a hardware fix...

    headset music volume hack (dial *#*#197328640#*#*, [8] audio -> [2] headset -> [2] rx value -> [5] rx codec for midi -> [1] rx codec gain, enter 5FFF for 4db, 7FFF for 6db, FFFF for 12db, 2014 for default)

    headset in call volume hack (dial *#*#197328640#*#*, [8] audio -> [2] headset -> [2]rx value -> [1] rx codec/volume, enter 5FFF for 4db, 7FFF for 6db, FFFF for 12db, 4000 for default)

    speaker music volume hack (dial *#*#197328640#*#*, [8] audio -> [3] speaker -> [2] rx value -> [5] rx codec for midi -> [1] rx codec gain, enter 5FFF for 4db, 7FFF for 6db, FFFF for 12db, 47d0 for default)

    speaker in call volume hack (dial *#*#197328640#*#*, [8] audio -> [3] speaker -> [2]rx value -> [1] rx codec/volume, enter 5FFF for 4db, 7FFF for 6db, FFFF for 12db, 5a67 for default)

    use [8] audio -> [5] Rebuild all to restore default values

    Currently trying with FFFF, 12 dB level.

    Here you can find a short conversion table (i hope it's accurate since decibel are following logaritmic scale) starting from percentage, then converting percentage to integer, then integer to hexadecimal and finally decibel.
    Use it at your own risk...

    % INT HEX dB
    0 0 0 -84
    25 8192 1FFF -6
    50 16384 3FFF 0
    75 24575 5FFF 4 (tested)
    100 32767 7FFF 6 (tested)
    125 40960 9FFF 8
    150 49152 BFFF 10
    175 57343 DFFF 11
    200 65535 FFFF 12 (tested)

    i'm guessing if the same could be applied to telephone call headset volume (which is quite low in the default JC6) via RX Codec volume parameters (service mode list 6 different settings)
