    Few quick questions

Is there any way to download an attachment from an email (I'm using Gmail)? I could do it on my Xperia X10, so it may be a Froyo feature.

Is there any way to use the secondary camera to take pictures? Again, I could do this with my X10, so it may again be a Froyo feature.

How do I set my Contract internt to kick in when I'm out of range of my wifi, without having to turn my wifi off. When I go to one of my bathrooms, my wifi signal is temperamental, so when browsing the internet and my signal goes, it just stops, the HSDPA doesn't kick in. It's pretty annoying when browsing the android market, getting a fair bit down the list, an then the internet conking out and having to start from the top of the list again.

I don't use my gmail, so I can't answer that..

For the secondary (front) camera, however, if you click on the top left, then select self portrait, it will let you use it.

Finally, can't help on the last point.

Sorry for not being too much help, but I tried.

    1. There is a preview button next to an attachment. Do you see/have it?
    3. Naturally if you have both 3G and Wifi not disabled, they will switch between each other when it comes to connectivity issues. You just need to use SwitchPro widget to make sure they are both turned on and you can get what you want.

    Thanks for the replies.
I keep on forgetting about the shooting modes, thanks.

I have the preview button, but all that does is show you the attachment, it doesn't seem to give an option to download.

Both wifi and contract allowance are on, but they don't seem to switch when no wifi signal.

What extension is your attachment? I have a .jpg and it does allow me to "download" or "preview" it. This could be a limitation of the google mail app where it doesn't support other extensions to download.. I'm not sure, would have to research.

Does 3G popup when you restart the phone and when you are not in a wifi area?

    It's a video, so it's 3gp. But I also have a .doc file extension.

Yeah, 3g comes up when restarted and not ina wifi zone. It also comes up when I unlock the phone, until the wifi establishes a connection.

    Ok, i just tested this.

    .3gp does not have a preview/download button.

.doc lets you preview, which then takes you to the Thinkfree app.

The only way to resolve this would be to actually use the Internet app and login into gmail and download the attachments from there. Sadly the google mail has this limitation of not allowing you to download the attachment, especially if it is not "supported".

Not sure why the 3G/wifi thing is playing up on you, possible to get SwitchPro widget or a similar widget to test this out?

You don't have a preview button with .3gp files? I do, I just can't dl them.
I never even thought about going into Googlemail through the browser, thanks man.

I'll try switchpro and give it a try. Will update when I've done it.
