My Galaxy S is by far the best phone I've ever had - loads better the my old iPhone 3G (sorry)
However, my car has a built-in hands free kit that uses rSAP protocol and I'm having trouble getting the phone paired ok. I had done some checks and e-mailed Samsung who confirmed there should be no issues. I have had the phone paired a couple of times but never consistently.
When I pair the phone I get a message if I want to allow Remote Sim Access each time which I agree to but when the phone pairs it does not seem to pass full functionality to the car. The idea of rSAP is to allow the car system to access the SIM to get contact details etc but it does not use the phone for signal purposes. The phone should almost shut down and show signal on the car system. At present the phone is retaining signal when paired to the car and not passing it to the car system - therefore they are paired but I cannot make calls on the car system?!?!?!?!?!?
Any help would be MUCH appreciated![]()
