    Try this: http://www.mediafire.com/?yy3ewxomj0z

That's a RAR file with all the pre-installed APKs. Including TW Launcher.

Which bits of this can I stick on my Nexus S to replicate the SGS experience as closely as possible? ie. I've successfully got the TWLauncher on the Nexus S (to a degree - I can't uninstall apps from the app drawer).

What do the other files do? Is there a list with descriptions.

    Where has this come from?

What I'd really like is to have the SGS power controls in the Nexus S notification bar. I've seen similar apps around, but they're just not the same.

Doesn't that come from a Custom Firmware.

Is your phone Rooted. Also you must remember that you should be on Android 2.3 and most apps from the SGS are for Android 2.2 and below, so it will be trial and error to see what works and what doesn't

My Nexus S is not rooted, but I could make it so if necessary. It's running 2.3.
Incidentally, my own SGS is also running 2.3 (though I have no idea from what version of Android the above files come from, nor who posted them).

I think they are old ones

If you Root your phone, you could download a SGS Custom Firmware and extract the apps you want to try and place them in < /system/app/ > (Root file explorer needed)

You could also try some of the apps you downloaded, be careful as they may not be compatible
