New to Samsung devices

I am new to these devices and had been a loyal Nokia users for 15 years.
One thing I really liked with all the nokias washaving different profiles.

I spend a lot of time in meetings and onlt want my phone to ring when people in a certain group call me.

That was easy on the Nokia...

Can I do this on the Galaxy.
I would of thought it a standard useful feature and so I am probably just not looking in the right place.

Sure you can!
You can set the phone to "Vibrate" or "Silent", which will mute the sound (and in case of "Vibrate" vibrate instead).
A quick way to access "Vibrate" mode is to drop down the notification-bar and tap the icon at the right named "Vibration".

I don't know if this works for groups, but you could set a ringtone for specific contacts.

This actually works for groups, instead of individual contacts. No idea if you can silence individual groups though...
