I want to update my android from 2.1 to 2.3, but I want to know if the same roms for GT-i9000 will work on my GT-i9000T?

Some sources say yes, other say no.
    Please help!

P.S.(I'm writing here cause it won't let me post a new thread)

Whenever i goto Task Manager of my Galaxy S2, there are some apps running. I have to manually Hit "Clear RAM" option.
Want to ask how can i properly close the applications on Samsung Galaxy SII.

Applications will run in the background for a while, usually if they are not used then they will be cleared...usually.

Which version of android are you on? Some ICS or Jelly Bean firmwares have an option under Menu > Settings > Developer Options > tick 'Do not keep activities' (Destroy every activity as soon as the user leaves it).

What is the problem with the apps running the background?
