I use K-9 with a Live account (I assume it is exactly like Hotmail) and it works perfectly. All settings were automatically done by K-9.
Apparently, the E-mail client of the SGS does not work with Yahoo! accounts. However, it works with MDN (Live, Hotmail) accounts.
I have identified two solutions:
1. Download form the Android...
What clock does not keep up ? The clock in the status bar, or the clock in the widget ?
Sometimes, widgets can do this, if they are not properly made. I do not think you have a problem with the...
I am also "eating-up" about 20 MB per day and I DO control my backgroud applications. It is very easy to have such traffic because the phone is very fast and using Internet services is a breeze. Even...
When I keep pressing the home button, I get the list of last 6 apps used. Some of them might be already closed. I would preffer to get the list of the running apps instead. I want to easily switch...
Normally, YouTube movies are played in High Quality. If they do not, you get the option to "Play in high quality". And they show beautiful !
Take care that stock Android does not play divX. The codecs for divX, Xvid and so on are added by Samsung ! Very few Android phones can play these files (HTC does NOT)
I confirm that my I9000 (European SIM-free model) can play ANY video files I put in it, including HD mkv's !!! Maybe it has something to do with how you put them on the phone ? I just copy the files...

My SIM-free Galaxy S does not show anything like this. I only got the message: "Draw pattern to unlock". Maybe what you have is some branding from your carrier. If this is the case, you should ask...
The phone is brand new, bought about two weeks ago. And I had this problem from day one. I'm not gonna re-flash it ! :-)
It is deffinitely not a carrier problem. The service works perfectly on any other phone I had.
Every time I get a call waiting (a second call during another call), and this is happening to me several times a day, I loose the current call, in various ways. It seems my phone just cannot handle...
Maybe it is the name you set on your Gmail account 9check the Gmail settings using a computer). If you did not enter a name there (just the e-mail address), maybe it shows no owner.
I have the 8 GB version, I put in a 16 GB microSD card, and it works fine. Anyhow (regardless of the SD card) if you put A LOT of multimedia files in it (music, pictures, movies) it will slow...
I think the only real problem with the lack of flash is the lack of torch. :-)
Here are two tests:

I would like to start a topic to concentrate all bugs and problems with Galaxy S, and maybe get some solutions. Here are my problems:
1. Call waiting (a call received during another call) will...
Reviewers say that Galaxy S battery will last for a solid 7 hours (!) of movies playback.
However, my Galaxy S with very heavy use (phone-calls, a lot of Internet activity, etc), is dead in 8...
