Yeah it seems ok thus far, main reason to give this a werl, heck have used almost every firmware yet, i should start using titanium backup or something :( as i always do a factory reset afterwards...
Got I9000XWJPA, rooted but the quadrant score was unimpressive, JM9 848pts, rooted 2249pts, JPA 1012pts. rooted 1877pts using the OCLF (one click lag fix)
Is this fix for Froyo JMP? As i get the same message as E:signature verification failed installation aborted.
Well i gone from the Froyo build to JM9 and the rooting worked right away. Is pretty...
Don't think it is possible due to the drivers with WM7, min req is a seprate GPU and CPU, the humming bird is all in one, this is the reason why Samsungs newst phone has an outdated snapdragon...
If you are wanting the latest Froyo build then yes i think you need the XXJM8 first, but it maybe possible to flash right to the latest.
I find best thing to do it go into the boot manager and wipe cache data, and factory reset.
I get 2.6.32.9 root@sep-42#1 updated from the last I9000XXJP3 # build without going through JM8 then formated and factory reset once done. No need to use JM8 to flash BTW from the looks of it.
I am pretty sure it is most likly to be the applications running in the background. I treat KIES is a killer even if you don't use it on that boot.
Doesn't really matter it's Samsungs way in saying be green don't waste electricity.
Just wondering when you flashed the firmware 1# did you remove the sim card before flashing? and 2# are you using a Orange SIM card with the branded/unbranded Orange phone?
Come to think of it, i do recall someone having a T-Mobile Galaxy S phone which was unlocked and they flashed the firmware and stopped reading their SIM card which was with another network and would...
Yes you can, if you are using Odin you can flash to pretty much any you want, Froyo Firmware has some limitations and in some cases needs another firmware first before flashing but all pior to that...
Nope have to let it run just out of the blue it no longer picks up the media, i wouldn't mind so much if i could get the media scanning to run when needed rather then rebooting the phone every time.
Maybe not sure. I know flashing the betas and won't allow you to flash again to the offical one so, i would assume so but might depend on the version.
Seems fine to me no lagging what so ever, however i have had a problem with the last 2 firmwares that after a little while my music disapears in the media player and the only way to get it back is...
JM7 was good so JM8 should be better.
yeah was on JPC3 and flashed to JPH which runs smoother and better flash playback.
Yeah that sentance is just a bit too long. Well at least you are getting updates, not sure if orange are but i am using the custom roms so.
WMV, is another format, which the player also supports i might add.
The same issue i had with JPC, but the phone was running sluggish then rebooted the phone but would not boot, got the samsung logo and kept sitting there, even left it for 10mins still stuck there....
All Galaxy S based phones are due the update in Sep, best guess late.
Depends most of them are region specific, but typically bug fixes and improvements and in some cases features the higher the number the newer the version and more likley incease stability and...
About a months times, soonish.
From the download mode have you tried to flash the firmware? Or are you just restarting the phone?
