Gelaskins.com Well, not a case per se, more like a skin, but you can use your own images. Gelaskins aren't available yet, but I heard that they will be available for the SGSII "soon"
How do you feel about the battery life compared to your iPhone?
Thank you Briggs for this post, reading all this and watching the videos has been very helpful for me and in fact I ordered my SGS2 just 5 minutes ago!
Are they going to make the 32GB model for sure? Has it been confirmed? I'm asking because I heard that Samsung "might not release a 32GB version due to the higher production costs"... And that's the...
Wow, you guys are wack... :p
Also, I came to the SGS from an N900 too. I missed the hardware keyboard at first, but no more once I got used to Smart Keyboard Pro.
The only thing I really miss is the glorious 32GB on-board...
Once you have rooted your phone, you can also use Root Explorer to uninstall unwanted system apps.
Simples: navigate to /system/app/ and you will see a list of .apk files, these are your system...
RIL is the Radio Layer Interface and RILD is the Radio Layer Interface daemon.
RIL is an abstraction layer between telephony services and the radio hardware of your phone. The fact that you're...

Looks like you're running the Arabic JG8, which is the latest 2.1 version for you Arabic/African users. I'm so far away from where you live that I don't really feel confident giving advice to you...
If you're absolutely certain you can't get into download/recovery and you are sure you have done it right, then you have a phone that has the 3-button combos disabled.

Like Doomed said, PDA is the main one. PDA is Android and the apps that come with it. MODEM is the firmware of the wireless chipset of the device, it controls WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G/2G/GSM...
Honestly, this is true for every manufacturer, isn't it?
Go to ANY phone forum for ANY brand, and I am 100% sure you're going to find many many posts like yours. For every single brand. Yes,...
I agree with that.
You say "noticeably warm when I pick it up off a shelf"... That doesn't sound good at all. Sounds like there is something keeping the phone busy while it should be idle!
Off the top of my head... Android Market?
There might be something there for entertainment.
LOL... everyone from maemo.org are voting like hell! The N900 is waaaaay ahead of the SGS
Also, does the browser work over WiFi?
If you're using the stock browser, try an alternative browser (skyfire, dolphin) to identify whether the problem is with the stock browser. If the alternative browsers won't work, you're most likely...
I realize I'm not helping with this post... But this is why you should sync contacts to your Google account and have an automatic backup scheduled often, I have mine scheduled for full system backup...
Clutching at straws here, but you should try taking out the battery, leaving it out for 10 minutes, putting it back in and try powering the phone on. That should reset something and it's worth to try...
I have solved this annoyance using Rescan Media found here: http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.addz.mediascannerroot
That app is lovely. I use it a lot.
