Mine appears to have installed correctly at the third attempt, after some worrying disconnection messages part way through.
Having trouble with mine. Got the update to Kies, then started the S111 update, but part way through it tells me the phone is disconnected.
Trying again...
Galaxy S4 will have 4G as standard, July 2013 :)
The number of processor cores won't affect the SAR. Ther emust be another reason for the difference.
Fixed! I did a battery-out reset and the earphones are recognised.
Don't know what was wrong before but I'm glad to have sorted it.
Have just tried for the first time to use the FM radio in my S3. The app tells me the earphones aren't connected.
Trying the phones with the video player, they don't work there either. I've tried...
Why would you want WiFi to stay on during sleep? You aren't going to get incoming calls via WiFi so you won't miss anything.
Yes it does sound daft doesn't it. :)
Not entirely wrong though. I got the update message OTA, but as I had to drop the phone in the cradle to do an Outlook update via Kies I said No to the OTA...
THanks! I missed that one. Will have to search harder before posting.
today via Kies.
Can't see any difference here - anyone have an idea what's new?
I got the official Samsung 2.0 AH battery for my GS2, which improved the life considerably, amd came with a new back panel which IMO made the phone nicer to hold.
I'm hoping they will do something...

Have you tried the new beta of Sygic? It's a great improvement.
Great. Thanks very much. I'm off there now.
I'll be getting an S3 soon. Have read about the 50GB Box.net. Can anyone tell me please if it has to be registered under the google account used for apps, or can you use any other account name?

I've sorted this now thanks. It was some sort of hangup in the phone. Restarting didn't help but pulling the battery out and then restarting did the trick. Kies now working OK.
I've never had any problem with Kies, but all of a sudden it is not connecting to my GS2.
When I connect to the phone by USB, it beeps as before, Kies starts up automatically and Windows says the...
I found a copy in the download folder in an image backup.
Just to say I have fixed it.
I removed and reinstalled Kies but it was just the same.
Out of desperation I found an older version and installed that, and now it works properly.
I won't be letting...
It's only the contacts that are not working properly, and although some people have criticised it Kies has always worked for me.
I just drop the phone into a USB cradle on the PC and everything...
Thanks for the quick reply! But that won't do for me.
I use Kies to sync my contacts, diary, photos and videos to my PC. I wouldn't want to send all that private information to Google.
Kies has always worked well for me, until I updated my GSII to ICS and updated Kies to the latest version. Now I'm having trouble syncing the GSII with Outlook on my PC as I want.
After the last...
Just updated here and noticed one significant difference. Before when I connected to Kies to update diary and contacts, it told me I had to turn bluetooth off before it would update. Now it lets me...
Very sensible comment BGood. The phone is brilliant even with 2.3.x software. Like everyone I'm keen to see what improvements ICS will bring, but I am happy to wait until it's been tried by a few...
