What are you talking about...USB direct connection wont work...of course it does, and a simple "google it" will give you an answer.
Dont quite get why it isnt working for you. I have been changing from CM7 to this build, back to stock then back to the ICS build again with no problem. Only suggestion I can make is to flash CM7...

2.3.7 was latest update for the nexus phones so right after android released it CyanogenMod grabbed it as their next base just before releasing the stable CM7.1 for the 68 devices that they support....

As of today the SGS is officially supported, and CM7.1 (stable) has been released.
What do you think of this rom? I keep on bugging them for a VillainRom for thr original SGS....but no luck so far.

Have been using it for a long time but on the SGS original though, had tried many custom roms between last December and April or so, have been on CM7 since then, for me - that says it all, wouldn't...
Huh?...been running Android 2.3.5 on my phone since end of July (SGS with CyanogenMod)
There are themes available on the market, download and apply through the CM7 Theme Chooser, which is a nice little gizmo, and there are themes to apply via CWM.
It doesn't look like MIUI, it is stock android with a CyanogenMod twist, just as stock samsung is android with a samsung twist. There is also an Insanity CM7 rom, though I have not tried that yet.
As I said above, they are battling through because of the non-code release by sammy. It was only a few weeks ago that the SGS got RC1 (stable) status, who knows if it will ever reach RC2. These guys...

First thing to say is quick, damn quick. Very smooth moving through everything. Extra settings to use. Downside to it is that its not the finished article yet, perhaps never will be..samsung giving...
