My Orange phone upgraded today, via Kies. Now running BVJP8 with a build date 2010.12.

Not a replacement, a new phone for my daughter direct from Orange UK. It is true that there doesn't seem to be any orange crap on it, which is good.

As I posted elsewhere, I received a new phone from Orange UK yesterday and I think that it is running Froyo, 'About phone' says Firmware version 2.2 and Build number FROYO.XXJPO, *#1234# gives:

I have had a Galaxy S for a few months which is running the 2.1 software, I received a new phone from Orange UK today (for my daughter for Christmas) and it seems to be running 2.2 Froyo. Don't know...
