ive had no problems with any of the newer firmwares.jm2 about the best i guess
All mine are working.Im just waiting for a usable update zip to root it with now but im keeping jp3 on there
He said hell do an unthemed one for jp3(I dont like the theme or font either).Jp3 is a big jump from jp2 in terms of speed and stability. Its the fastest stock rom ive used yet and seems not far of...
Was about to post this.Added some nice functionality. You can now force 3g as well as 2g and theres a nice task manager attached to the recent apps window which tells you each apps cpu and ram...
perhaps you were low on ram and android closed to free up resorces. i ve found the way android handles multitasking to be very inteligent. When froyo comes along and frees up our other 256mb of ram...
The only time i had this problem was with the nand fix
Its about the only thing i miss from my symbian phones, but android does not support it
Thought id do a test of 2g standby time vs 3g just out of interest,I know I lose about 9% in 10 hours on 3g which isnt bad really.Im 4 hours in on 2g and havnt lost 1 % yet which equates to over 400...
2 days moderate use easy yea.To be honest i tend to charge every night as i tend to use a lot.In 10 hours when im in bed i lose about 9% batery in stand by(would be less if i turned 3g off but cant...
Well if your winning to pay £1.99 then you could use album art grabber off market like i did,it works really well and also lets you use alternative covers. On a similar not a few of my old videos no...
883 sounds about right for jg5 without the fix to me,I dont think its applied.I used a 1 gig class 2 card and got about 1400
What are people doing about the fact the ringtones dont carry over?
Is the phone in general snappier than with the already excellent nand fix?
GPS was unusable with jf3 for me now spot on so must just be software
No as long as it opens port in odin.I pluiged in into pc in usb debug mode and windows 7 found all required drivers
Im actually running r2 with this firmware now with 0 problems and it seems slightly quicker than jg1 with r2.I know your not supposed to run r2 on anything but jg1 but was gonna flash back so thought...
Having played with this firmware i will say its the best standalone solution for laging-however the jg1 with modoco r2 and mcr sripts enabled was still a bit faster
Beautiful does same thing to.I think what caused it for me was having minfreemanager set too aggresivly but i havnt got 100% to the bottom of it yet
Yes i think automatic task killers are a waste of time, just use the ones that tweak androids built in task killers settings ie minfreemanager and autokiller
Is it as quick as using the nand fix
The guys at xda seem to think its eliminated lag,I avnt botherd flashing as im running with the nand fix so lag not an issue. There are supposibly a few other issues with this firmware
I came from i8910hd.I now think of that as an unusable piece of junk for 1 reason - SYMBIAN. It just seems like a 10 year old operatring system next to android. Also the hd video recording actually...
It wont do until froyo(android 2.2) is out.You could try using skyfire as your browser as that has some flash support i belive
Im in englad, ive had plenty of crap weather to test it in and it really works well.Early on i was quite vocall on this site about how crap gps was but its cleared up with new firmwares.either that...
co pilot is faultless on jg1,ive tried to confuse it with wrong turns but it holds lock and corrects instantly.Google maps works well too (for me at least)
