Android 2.3.6 is what I have and my carrier is Sprint but I still can't figure out why I am not aloud to edit my profile or upload a picture
I goto photos and I get an error saying I don't can't do it

If kies and the OTA(over the air update)on the phone both say no update then there is no update. The latest official firmware is Gingerbread 2.3.4. If you have a carrier branded phone and the firmware is below 2.3.4 then you will have to wait for your carrier to release there version of the firmware, which can take some time.

As you are in the USA and have the Galaxy SII Epic, I'm not to sure how the updates for unbranded phones are rolled out.

You can flash the phone manually using odin. Head over to samMobile.com, register on the site, search for the firmware for your region and model of phone. You will also find guides there to help you with the flashing. Flashing firmware using this method will invalidate your warranty.

Edit: Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich is supposed to be released in the UK some time in March, I don't know about other country's though.

You will see members talking about Ice Cream Sandwich, these are leaked versions and not official versions.
