run the Service Mode menu by entering *#*#197328640#*#* like a telephone number.
Now choose :
[5] AUDIO
>[2] HEADSET
>[9] Diamond Solution
>[6]1Mic TX(OFF)
>[1]1Mic TX OnOff : OFF
Click the [1]1Mic TX OnOff : OFF line.
Use the menu capacitive button, and select "Key Input"
Enter the value 1
now go to
[2]Fir_Coeff Table
set the value 0 to fir_coeff 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
*note this will only increase your headphones volume, it wont effect your speaker, so your speakers arent at risk of blowing.
thanks to supercurio (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=735918) for his work with this

thanks sora this method reminded me of the infamous omnia HD loudspeaker code but that didn't go too well :p after a while I had to replace my phone's speakers because they were blown from the inside!
In other words becareful when trying this method cause you might end up damaging your phone's speakers in the long run...nevertheless thanks sora for posting the code here :D

lmao, i blew my speaker too doing that, and yeah i completely copied the name 'improve audio loudness' from briggs old post http://forums.samsungi8910omnia.com/samsung-i8910-omnia-hd-tutorials/2313-how-improve-loudness-mp4-divx-movies-audio-playback.html
but this wont blow out your speaker, cause this is for the 3.5mm audio volume, not built in speaker volume (tho you could increase the speaker volume using the same method)

I'm confused. Do you enter that character string in phone mode? That doesn't work for me. It tries to dial and then I get a Verizon error msg. I'm not sure where else I would enter that string.

Is it possible Verizon have disabled the secret access codes in their version of the firmware ?

You should not press the Dial button, it will work without that.
