Hi All

First Post - Just got my new Galaxy S and am loving it. I just have one question

With my old Nokia N96 I could install Nokia PC Suite on my work PC and then I could connect to the phone via bluetooth so could manage read any received texts. More importantly I was able to reply to the text straight from my PC.

I'm looking at doing the same thing with the Galaxy S. I installed Kievs but that only lets me view texts but not compose them. Does anyone have any ideas!

Regards

Hi there, welcome to the forum! :)

Not meaning to sound disparaging but why not just text from the phone?

Well if it was 1 or 2 texts it would be fine but... sometimes I send as many as 20 or 30 messages a day... and it's does my head it doing it on the phone as I'm not the worlds best texter... plus being able to touch type on a keyboard helps in speed!! I love swype but there is only so much swyping I can do!!! :)

Oh I love the swype system :D lol Although occassionally it can get annoying when it keeps coming up with the wrong words lol
Hopefully someone else will be able to help you out as I don't know how to text from the PC using Kies :(

Have you tried standing in front of someone and Swyping the word in mid air.. I tried it with a sware word and it had the desired effect!! :) Hasn't worked too well with the wife though... maybe I should try talking to her instead!! :)

Has your carrier got any web interface for sending SMS? For O2, Vodafone and Orange in UK you can send SMS from the carrier's website.

That is true, but (at least with o2) the amount of free ones is limited (10 a month), and here we talking 20 to 30 daily :)

Having iPhone and now SGS I never seen this feature, last time I used it it was on old Nokia phone.
