I've a new Hawaiian Telcom (Sprint) unit with the "GingerBread" operating system. The guy at Best Buy tried for three hours to find the default without success.

What I am trying to do is...

When I set an appointment I want the alarm to default at 10 or 15 minutes. Right now I must enter the time for every appointment. The Best Buy guy has the same phone with some kind of beta "Ice Cream Bar" OS which does allow you to set the default easily.

Would someone give me the step by step instructions to resolve my problem?

As far as I'm aware, and I use my calendar for business purposes, there is no way to set a default appointment (including alarm setting) on the build in calendar app, I've resorted to a third-party App to provide these options. For me it's a standard 2 hour meeting, alarm at 30 mins before, and second alarm at 15 minutes before. I'm using Business Calendar Free but there are plenty of options out there, you'll need to investigate which works best for you.
