Anyone else have this problem .... even though the WiFi is on a appears connected all internet access stops.

Settings shows it's connected to the right AP and other devices connected there are fine but. It'll work for a while and then stop randomly. The only fix appears to be to turn off the WiFi and then back on again on the Galaxy.

Any thoughts ?

You'r not alone. I have the same problem. It looses the connection but a refreshed scan reconnects it immediately.

Just out of interest what sleep policy is on your WiFi settings? Go to Settings --> WiFi --> click menu key and go to Advanced. Could be something there (for instance its set to sleep on screen deactivation by default).

I had the same issue and I found it was because the screen went off. Lucky I found the fix as the i8910 had something simular in wifi settings. Thanks for the info NZtechfreak.

Checked that and changed it. Appears to have fixed the problem, nice one, thank you.

Found the advanced settings as well. I assume that will fix that.
Spend hours going through all kind of menus and then not seeing that! There is just too much.
