Hi,
Sorry to bitch.... BUT
I am new to android and all i want it a widget that i can access quickly to tell me the latest football news, preferably from the bbc football website.... i have tried...
Sparse RSS
Reader Widget Pro
but neither seem to be able to do this..
I would also like to control my music from a widget so i can quickly press pause etc.
i downloaded Pure music widget.... everytime i click on the disk to open my media libary... force close.
AGGHH i hate to say this but i dont think i can cope with this. i think it may have to go special delivery back to T-Mobile.

Pure Music Widget is for stock Android music player or HTC music player: This is what it says on the AppBrain page *** WARNING: NEED STOCK ANDROID PLAYER OR HTC SENSE PLAYER !!! ***
*** NO X10, NO SAMSUNG S *** ;)
I believe I posted yesterday and suggested a widget for you, that one didn't do what you wanted it to do?
Also, you need to consider this: which other phone/operating system has a football widget?

was that the FOTMOB one? it isnt a widget thought its an app that only shows scores. i am looking for news, transfers etc. rss style.
I am not a iphone fanboy so to speak i am no expert i just like it when they work as you would expect. i used to use the sky sports app for my football news updates and i had a icon on my desktop that took me straight to the bbc football website, i suppose that would be a start. i am looking for reasons to keep this phone, the only one i can come up with is because it is affordable. If android was just as good as we all know it could be. i wish i wish
One more thing is can it play MKV. files??? i have burn notice in mkv but i just get a black screen

Yeah the FotMob page says - Widget shows Premier League news
If you do a search for EPL on AndroidZoom (http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/epl/by_matching) for example, a lot of stuff comes up. But it does seem that the amount of EPL widgets offered is... low.
There are also Latest News apps for many teams, including Liverpool (or was it Arsenal you liked?) I'm sure that's blasphemy in your eyes, but I honestly don't remember... :p
On iPhone, you don't have widgets either, right? You have apps that you have to click open. There are several EPL apps like that for Android. I'm quite sure Symbian has no widgets for EPL (and if they do exist they will not work like they should) so it seems to me that you'll be in the same situation no matter which phone you have!
Palm has something for the webOS: http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/english-premier-league-transfer-rumors-news (I'm not sure what kind of site that is, looks dodgy and weird. I'm not at all familiar with Palm)
Looks like RIM BB users use websites and standalone apps: http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1140306
I'm not even going to bother with WinMo :D

thanks i have never seen that androidzoom website, i will have a look now. it seems that everything i get just seems to say soory it has faile force close? like i have any other option....
no there where no widgets for the iphone BUT the apps it does have work..... i suppose that is the benefit of an itunes app store that all apps are tested prior to sale.
thanks very much for the link.
PS Liverpool... my team.

Androidzoom.com is nice, and so is appbrain.com
If you're getting force closes, it sounds like there is something up with your phone. A nice reflash/upgrade might help!
