Hi i just switched from iphone to Galaxy and there are a few things that i dislike, i was wondering if you can help?

1. i have synced my works emails with my phone and on my iphone i could just enter the first digit of an email address and it would bring up a list. on this phone it doesnt, i have synced my corporate contact list and now i have all 500 odd people i have ever emailed in my contacts list. i dont want them there but i do want them in my email client.

2. The email client does not display the emails as they should be, in html. they are displayed in text. this means alot of emails are just page after page of html code. looks terrible.

3. i have tried the default sms client and i have tried handcent, neither seem to flow in logical methods. are there any other SMS clients that could be recommended?

4. last but not least i am on T-Mobile UK, i find either the HSDPA to be very slow or it is the dolphin browser that is very slow. either way the iphone on 3g (my wifes one) i have ran tests to load webpages and it beets it by an embarresing amount. i am talking it will take about 1 minute to load bbc football and the iphone does it in about 5 seconds. (iphone on orange). is this carrier related?

1) Gmail contacts, right? This is due to how Gmail works and not Samsung I'd guess. It's driving me nuts too. Google needs to let us disable this stupid feature. I've got my contacts working fine but it required some work to get it the way I wanted it.
2) No idea. Works fine for me.
3) You can try chomp. I personally like Handscent . I too switched from iPhone recently and I think it's a lot better. Maybe it's just a matter of personal preference.
4) The Dolphin browser is pitifully slow. I use the stock one and I think that's great. You could try Opera.

Yeah, I could not stand K-9. You might want to try RoadSync for Outlook/Exchange. Not free though.

#Thanks i will give that a try. :)

finding it a bit difficult. i could never in a million years recommend android to a phone novice, i consider myself to be quite savvy but it just feels like this phone is a beta release, hardware is fine software is frankly all over the place, market place needs some sort of quality control.
