Can any shed any light as to why the damn video buffers for ages (about 1 minute) before playing for 15 seconds and then buffering again?
I have an almost new 50" 3D LCD (series 7) that streams youtube perfectly (on thje TV's youtube channel via wifi to my netgear router) but streaming video (taken on the SGS2) is so slow it's impossible to watch. Even pictures take ages to load.
Help me please before something gets thrown through something...
Cheers.

If it's hd video that's probably the problem, it's a high bitrate that simply struggles over the wifi. I have a samsung tv and stream movies off the home network and it works fine for normal definition but for 1080p mkv's I just stick em on a usb stick or portable hard drive and plug that into the usb port on the tv. You can also record onto a portable hard drive from freeview, which is pretty cool.

Hi,
I'm not sure if you're looking to get over the wi-fi problem to view video's or if you just want to watch them any way possible without the buffeting problem.
I've connected my SGS2 to our four year old Samsung 52" HD tv via a Samsung MHL Adapter and a 5m cable with excellent results (both video/sound and photo albumn too).
if you're looking for a wireless solution this isn't a lot of help but otherwise it's well worth considering (and might stop you throwing something!!!)

Hi there,
Have to say i feel your pain. I too suffer similar problems.
I can "Beam" HD 1080 youtube videos )via twonky beam" and 1080 MKV's fine from the phone to the TV, no buffering whatsoever.
However when it comes to pictures or videos i have taken or recorded it becomes a slideshow. 15 seconds viewing then a minute to buffer. Very frustrating.
