I only bought the Galaxy S today and so far very impressed but by accident I maganed to save a message I was typing into the drafts folder. I am not sure how I did this so first question is:

How do you save messages into the draft folder?

I am not sure how I acces this message. When I look in my messages folder I see a silver folder icon next to the message that is in drafts and it tells me it is saved in drafts. My second question is:

How do I access the drafts folder? Which buttons do I press?

Many thanks for the help with this. I have been sat pressing lots of menus but not getting anywhere.

Thank you.

I found that my phone sometimes does this without me asking it to, very odd. I think it does it if you come out of messaging too quickly before its managed to fully send the message. I've no idea how to get into the drafts folder but I've found that if you just open the message again and exit normally it tends to take it out of drafts. Is very strange, don't know why it does it. Hopefully someone else can offer more help

I don't think there is a draft folder, at least I never seen one myself. If you type a message without sending it, it will automatically saved as draft, to retrieve it, just go back to the person whom you wrote that message and it will appear again. Sometimes if I accidentally press enter key (next line) without typing any message, it will still save as draft as 'next line' is still class as a character.

Hi, there is no draft folder, but if you come out of a message that you have started to create to a contact then it will keep it in the message view it will have a graphic of a folder icon above the time that the message was created on the right hand side of the thread. If you compose a new message to a contact that there is already a draft message for then this will update the old draft message with the new message.

I hope this helps

What is odd is that I can delete a message, and then it leaves me on a screen with an "empty" message - but if a <blank space> is left in any field, it will remain as a draft, but you can't remove it or find it normally.

Like it says I have 0 unread/3 total + a draft message. You look at the messages, and there are only three, and zero dratfs. In this case there is a message (attempted reply) saved as a draft with someting in the "to" field. I can't remember how I deleted it right now, but I know I did it by removing the blank space character.

You can have only one draft message for each recipient, if you don't select a recipient then the message is discarded when you exit messaging.

the s2 doesnt have a normal seperate draft facility allowing you to keep an sms for sending later or if you want to keep it awhile. A trick is to change receiver/recipient to ME...ie, send it to yourself [ just put ureslf into ur contacts as ME ] where from your ME inbox you can press the sms bubble you sent urself, and fwd or copy it to whoever a your leisure.....it costs another txt but it gets round the lack of nokia type drafting. hope this helps
