I just installed Sygic GPS and was annoyed to see the audio files now appear in my Music or Media player! However I remember seeing the fix some time ago. The fix is easy, just make a text file in Windows with notepad and save it as all files, naming it .nomedia

Now if you want to block the GPS audio and images from showing up, place the .nomedia in the folder that you want blocked from mediaplayer.

Example: For Sygic GPS. On the mircosd /Drive and /Res folders place the .nomedia file there inside.

Easy!

(If your real lazy I've attached the file for you to download below)

Nice! Thanks Briggs. It was really annoying all those navigation sounds in my track list.

The album at is in the same directory as the music. I assumed that this file would also stop the music appearing in the music player as well as stopping the album covers appearing in the gallery. I'll test it later though when I get home.

Hi. Having brought a whole pile of games I find that all the RAW files (sounds from the games, voices etc) are picked up by the music player. There are hundreds of them and they get in the way when looking around my music. How do I stop these being displayed in the music player?

Cheers
