I am now due for an upgrade.

So what makes the SGSII better than the SGS?

I know it is a bit faster, has a slightly larger screen, but is there anything else?

So come on, persuade me that I should upgrade to the SGSII.

I've not had the SGS so I can't strictly compare. Read the specs is a pretty naff phrase but it should help. The screen is about the best visually there is and the speed makes games go really smoothly. Sometimes to fast - The on-screen comments on Star Trader are gone before I can read them! Gorilla glass is a big plus (I don't think the SGS has that). I still use a case but not having to use a screen saver makes the phonelook a whole lot nicer - none of those annoying dust bubbles - and also clearer. Again, I can't compare but the outside performance is one of the best. Still pretty mediocre but one of the best :)

Here is a review of 3 phones, the SGS EyeEyE, SGS Plus (Basically our phone overclocked) and LG Optimus 2X.

This is untrue as we do:)

Have you gone to a shop and tried one. The look and feel is not much different. It would be like going from an iphone 3G to an iphone 3GS:)

At the moment I'm I'm undecided weather to get one, or suffer and wait for the next one:)

The SGS Eye Eye has a II after it, or 2 sometimes. That's got to be better and worth the upgrade. :)

The most important question(s) for me would be, are you looking to renew a contract and if so how long will it last. Will you upgrade to the Eye Eye only to be annoyed when the Eye Eye Eye comes out.

The Eye Eye is clearly going to be better than the Eye and the Eye Eye Eye even better still. Can you wait that long, are you happy enough with your Eye at the moment to use it until you're ready to upgrade.

I upgraded from a SGS to a SGS2 based mainly on faith that there would be a difference. And there really is. It's so much faster, the GPS actually works and the camera is a zillion times better. Do it - you really won't regret it.

And will you be killed by pirates for saying too many Eye Eye Eye's:)

If I decide to get the SGS EyeEye it will be on a 12 month contract:)

I have both, SGSII is miles better:
Larger screen, but more importantly has true real stripe matrix and not horrible pentile matrix
1GB of RAM
Dualcore CPU (not fully taken advantage of yet, but helps a lot with hardware accelerated browser)
Better GPU for high quality gaming
Better video player - capable of up to 1080p playback - AND an HDMI-out connection type (MHL) to take advantage of that
1080p flash in the browser
Better camera - 8mp Vs 5mp, LED flash, 1080p video capture
Much improved GPS
No lag, much faster in general operation, virtually impossible to induce lag

Plus the SG2 has a Super AMOLED + display which uses 50% more sub-pixels for a better picture and its brighter and more efficient by 18%. SG2 looks better as well.
