My SGS2 is only a week old.
it takes about 4 or even more HOURS to charge it from 0% to 100%.
The battery is over after 6-7 hours of continuous use.
i am kind of disappointed i didnt excpect this.
do i have a faulty battery/unit?

no, you don't . mine takes as well 3 to 4 hrs to fully charge. You need to browse this forum and find out how to increase your battery life, start with Kies update. good luck

1) This kind of thing gets much better with age. Mine really got up to its potential battery capacity after about 4 weeks. It always takes longer to charge and drains quickly when the battery is brand new.
2) How are you charging your battery? If you use anything but the included A/C adaptor that came with the phone, it will usually take longer to charge.

I am charging it with the original supplied samsung a/c adaptor.
sometimes i charge with the usb cable, but i know its slower. right?
i really hope battery life will improve because the s2 is quite nice.

You won't get much better than that with continuous use, seriously what did you expect.

perhaps you are right. but it always looks like the battery percentages are dropping quite rapidly without any use. or i am just being paranoid :\

My battery is markedly better than when the phone was new - it's around 3 weeks old now. It's quite an amazing difference. So give it some time!
