Has anyone else here got invited yet? The app automatically (optional:rolleyes:)uploads your pics and videos to picasa web albums, it's really quite good, as is google+. I'm still a bit unsure how the whole invite thing works but I can see this catching on, the circles thing is a very neat idea.

I had photobucket installed and that uploaded every photo I took to my albums. I hated it. I don't want everything uploaded, I want to choose. I was able to change the settings to stop it doing that thankfully..

No way would I want the google thing, I can't see it catching on at all to be honest.

Uploading is optional and you can choose whether it's done over wifi or when you are charging etc. The uploads are into a private folder on picasa until you want to share them so it's a great backup facility for me. Plus the ability to share things with only certain circles of friends and not all of your friends is good. I never was a fan of facebook but this is a great way of sharing my media with friends and family and I already had a ton of photos and videos on picasa. A bonus is videos under 15mins don't count to your free storage limit.

I didn't think to would catch on cos I got the impression from the op that it uploads everything, wasn't made clear that you can choose what to upload. I'll stick with photobucket, that's where I upload to and have done for years now.

Tbh I'm enjoying the integration of the google services, it really helps share my picasa meida, that new black bar is handy and may help google+ work...

What my phone does is downloading my Picasa albums to my phone, it does not work the other way around.

Anyway I'm waiting for google+ as well :)

picasa used to show my web albums in gallery if sync was set but not in other apps. i think it just downloaded thumbs.

anyway Google+ upload any new pictures or videos to your private instant upload folder in picasa web albums. just a neat and simple feature, i just wish i could find a better app for organising web albums on my phone.

I've just joined it, no idea how to use it though! lol I'm on MIUI ROM at the minute and there is a Google+ app on there, will have to check that out now.

Well the app is pretty cool, but the website is even cooler :)
