When I'm taking footage of say, the kids round the house, the autofocus on the video camera really seems to struggle. It goes in and out of focus with surprising regularity. I've seen it stay OUT of focus for around 8 seconds before finally fixing itself.

To be honest, the small amount of footage I have taken so far is pretty embarrassing because of this.

I'm wondering if this is fairly standard for this camera, or if I have a faulty unit.

I'd really appreciate the thoughts and experiences of others who have tried to take footage of people with this phone.

Was it full 1080p? try 720 as it will be smoother by my experience. There's really no need for more I think as long as the 720 is good and it is.
