I'm a proud SGS2 owner. But I just found out that when I zoom in on Google Maps, strange squares appear:
Zoom out:

Is this a hardware or software problem? Has anybody an idea how to fix this? I updated Google maps and did a reboot, but this did not solve the problem.

Try Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > Maps > Clear data.

I also did a hard reset, that also didn't solve the problem :-(

In Google maps (not navigation) how do i do a search for directions from A to B?
Directions from menu?

Btw: I did return the SGS2, waiting to get a new one.
