Hello!

I installed GO SMS on my galaxy (GT-I9000) and really love the application compared to any of the other ones I have tried so far.

But!

For some reason, the applications keeps on resetting all the settings all the time... so that if I'd want to keep them as I want I would have to change them every time I open it. Quite laborious as you can imagine as this is a very frequently used app.

It seems to be something that they have come across alot more, as you can even find a section in the settings saying:

"For some GT-I9000 ROMs, GO SMS settings will be invalid after reboot. This is a problem with Samsung ROMs.
To fix, please remove the folder /dbdata/databases/com.jb.gosms"

I have tried to do this... but no matter how hard I try I can NOT find the com.jb.gosms file or the whole /dbdata/databases folder!!!
(I have rooted my phone but I'm also just a girl OK!!)

Can someone help me either just to locate this folder so I can try to fix this problem, or even better offer a better way of fixing this extremely annoying issue with GOSMS!?!

Thank you!!!

I have the same problem and its irritating as hell!

It seems the phone has to be rooted in order to even see that folder and delete it. Yours is so you should see it just above the SD card folder apparently.
Mine isn't and I don't want to root it either so I have little option other than to uninstall Go SMS at the moment until they release a version with a decent fix.

You need a Root File Explorer app as standard ones will not pick up the Root file system. I use Root Explorer (Paid app) but some others have found free versions that work well, but I don't know what they are called.
