Hi guys and gals.

I got myself a Samsung Galaxy S yesterday on T-Mobile and got it home and had problems with downloading apps from the market (I think that was because I changed my @googlemail to @gmail so changed it back and it worked) anyway apps constantly crash, for example I open up Google Maps and it says it has forced quit and closes it. Google talk and a few others did this also. Now when I click Market it flashes black for a second and then goes back to the home screen and will not launch. It has previously worked in the past though. I have reset to factory settings numerous times and formatted memory card as well as flashed different firmwares and while it sometimes works for a bit, ultimately I get the same problems after a reboot. Do you guys (or gals) have any suggestions or do you think perhaps my phone is faulty?

Thanks for any advice.

Not had the problem with crashing apps but i am having a struggle with the App Marketplace, takes an age for it to load and then once an apps installed, it says its installing in the downloads section of the marketplace until i reboot. How did you change from gmail to googlemail as I hope that will resolve my long ass marketplace issue (btw this happens on 3g and on home wifi)

Yep mine was a bit slow (wifi) - even when I got it working. It may have been a poor wifi signal though as I was in the back room. Anyhow to change back to googlemail or gmail I just went to https://mail.google.com/mail/googlemail/rebrand and it switches instantly and you can always switch back again.

To add some new information... I haven't received a replacement yet due to no stock at my local T-Mobile store so I've been messing with the phone a bit.

I have noticed that sometimes (randomly) after a factory reset the market app will open and it works but then maps doesn't work. Upon looking in Applications I notice an update was installed for both maps and the market. As soon as I remove the update for the market it won't open anymore. Very baffling.
