: Galaxy SII protective case / extended battery power pack combo
Briggs 04-16-2011, 01:30 AM This looks interesting, Samsung have a nice line up of accessories. Including this case/extended battery pack. Should give us maybe another whole day of phone use with that 1300 mAH battery?

Essentially an extended battery, this power pack for the Samsung Galaxy S II has a 1300mAh capacity. Add this to the 1650mAh standard battery in the device already that gives 2950mAh.
This power pack fits around your I9100 and extends the talktime. It does make the device physically thicker, but it also acts as a protective casing.
The phone can be used without restriction but adds the extra power too, so you can work away from a fixed power source for longer - perfect for the most demanding of users.

Sc00by 04-30-2011, 01:24 PM I've been scouring the net for accessories, and this is something that I would possibly be interested in, although I would want to see what it was like "in the hand" before buying.
Work colleague has a similiar set up for his Iphone, and would not be separated from it.
I have a work colleague with a similar iphone4 setup. Anyone know why there's an indentation next to the cutout for the camera?
Simonandrew 05-04-2011, 01:10 PM It looks like a recess for the (sticky out) camera? and probably to aid you getting the phone in and out of the unit?
Having used the phone for a couple of days its going to need this to get me through a "busy" 10 hours ;)
ngwagwa 05-08-2011, 07:25 PM The OPs post shows the case/battery for the Galaxy S. The S 2 version has a "lump" on the top. I have seen conflicting images on various store sites. anyways I used a similar case with built in battery on a iPhone3 and will be buying one ASAP for my Galaxy S 2.
llBlackenedll 05-09-2011, 05:03 PM One thing that isn't in those specs is the size and weight it adds to the phone. Having said that, you don't need to have it on all the time.
Either way it will detract from one of my favorite things about the phone - it's slimline design and incredibly light weight.
bubblehead 07-15-2011, 08:35 AM Has anyone tried one of these yet, they seem very cheap & presume give a whole lot more life to our phones..

drjimmy 07-25-2011, 09:18 AM Think you will find it just about doubles the thickness of the phone, with a lump in the back. Not aesthetically pleasing...........
Briggs 07-25-2011, 12:58 PM Being somewhat cheap you'll find they aren't even 3500mAh but 2xxx. I'm getting almost 7 days battery life so I'm good :)

Just got mine, thicker yes, but no lump in the back...
Phone weight without, 116g with 178g...
The phone looks far nicer without the case but is much more useful with power than a flat battery...
androidjoe 08-22-2011, 07:07 PM 7 days of use on a battery? talk about being super jealous... I have to charge after 10 hrs.. Help a brother out? (haven't rooted, just trying to learn how, I'm assuming there's some goodness in having Root access.)

t00dy 08-22-2011, 08:48 PM I have got this Power Pack (PP) and i am not pleased with it AT ALL!!! I have done some testings, and here are my findings:
First, when i got the PP (two days ago) i cycled full charge/full discharge it 3 or 4 times, using stock travel charger 700 mA. IMHO this should be enough to reach full capacity of the PP's built-in battery, which should, according to the manual, have the capacity of 1.300 mAh.
About an hour ago i tested it again. I attached FULLY charged PP to phone, which had 48% (792 mAh). Charging lasted for 1 h 25 min, until the phone reached 93% (1535 mAh). While charging with PP, i had screen, WiFi, 3G, sync OFF (maybe it would be better to put it in airplane mode). So the PP was only able to deliver miserably 45% (743 mAh). That's rather far from theoretical value, which should be about 1300 mAh or in other words PP should be able to charge the phone from 0% to 78%, if you to the math (1300/1650=0,78)!!!
I don't know if my power pack is defected, or if this should be like this. But to me 42% efficiency seem VERY small, that is why i will contact Samsung, and present them with my findings while demanding my money back!
sophiemith 08-23-2011, 07:27 AM it seemed too heavy after putting it on~~~
koreanstyle 09-15-2011, 07:40 AM hi ,where did you buy yours? i wanna try as well.
mauricio.alan 09-24-2011, 01:44 AM Hello Im very interested on it
where can I buy it online for USA.

Hi to all
I've buy the battery power pack (EEB-U20BBUGSTD) for my SGS2...but I don't understand a thing, I don't see a power on/off on the battery pack! I had a same battery pack for galaxy s where there was a turn on/off for activate it, but here? isn't there?? I don't understand, the battery pack continue to recharge the phone until the power pack is discharge?? so I've to take the power pack always with me but separately from the phone because when I put on it the phone is always in charge?
